Wedding 3: Antwerp, Belgium

Performed by Flemish Representative of the People, Paul Cordy.

Marriage nr. 3 is a fact!
On Saturday, October 21st. we got married in Antwerp, Belgium.
Since Fleur lived here for about 20 years, the city always feels a bit like coming home. That Antwerp is open to lgbt collaborations was quite obvious since it took them, only about one week to get everything arranged. Location, official and photography, everything was settled promptly so a big thank you to the city. Also for organising a wedding reception so we could invite friends to be part of our 3rd. wedding. The Belgian press picked up the story and we were lucky to be able to share our journey on television and in newspapers. When we first started 22, we told each other that even if there would only be one person thinking about gay equality, the project would be a success. Obviously we didn’t expect it to grow so quickly so needless to say we are more than grateful about the way the story gets spread and will hopefully create some ripple effects. Thank you for being part of this and for engaging in the dialogue.
