Wedding 2: Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Marriage nr. 2 is a fact!
On Thursday, September 12th. we got symbolically married in The Netherlands. Julian lived in Amsterdam for 15 years so you can say she played a home game. As a child she always had this romantic dream of getting married and could never quite understand why she wasn’t supposed to marry her girlfriend from pre-school. Fortunately times change and things do get better. It was great to be back. Friends generously offered us their apartment for 2 weeks so we had a great home-base to go back to after we had spend our days running between the atelier of LeonLeon to fit our wedding attire and press interviews. We hugged and got hugged all over the city and Fleur actually blushed when someone recognised us on the streets. On the day of the ceremony itself, we forgot our wedding rings so we stripped Sara from External Affairs in Amsterdam from her jewellery and solved the problem. We called it “being creative”.
